I'm a photographer who sees brands differently. My goal is to find the angle that makes your audience feel something, true to who you are and what your brand stands for.
I've been at this since 2014, starting out at the architecture firm HOK before a phone call in 2018 changed everything. It was an invite to join Queer Eye as an assistant photographer for Seasons 3 & 4, working alongside the incredible Denise Crew. This opportunity put my work in front of millions of viewers and landed it in places like Cosmopolitan and Simon & Schuster.
When 2020 hit, I transitioned into packaging design, building products that are still on store shelves today. That chapter taught me something I didn't expect. I wasn't just good at capturing a brand, I was good at building one. So I went out on my own.
Today I run Alex Rhoades Creative, and alongside my wife Mary, Real Human Creatives doing the most meaningful work of my career, one brand at a time.

I’ve been a bartender in KC for most of my adult life. Chances are that I’ve served you a drink at one of the many bars that I worked for. Now days I’m serving up a little something different. For years I always knew that I had a desire to create but I didn’t know how or what or even where to begin. I met my wife in 2018. She was an up and coming photographer with the drive and grit to rival no other. She pushed me to find my creative side. To go back to school. To introduce Real Human Creatives to the world. I’ve never been more excited to do what I love with the person I love the most.
